 Study on burr formation in carbon steel boring

Abstract 

An experimental investigation of burr formation during boring of a high manganese carbon steel is in progress. The experimental design includes study of the influence of the classical cutting parameters: cutting velocity, depth of cut and feed rate. The study also focuses on the impact of the tool side and back rake angles.
