Abstract
The intention of this project is to make an
evaluation of existing classifications and standards for burrs. This will also
include a study of edge tolerances, since the tolerances can be just as
important as the burr itself. The impact from edge quality on edge
functionality will also be investigated. The work on burrs has mainly been
centered around burr formation and deburring, while there is not much
knowledge about the impact different burrs have on the functionality of
the final parts.
